Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero is an Adventure, Platform, Hack-n-Slash, and Single-player video game developed by Nippon Ichi Software. Throughout the game, the player serves as Prinny, whose main task is to track down the ingredients for the Ultra Dessert for Etna, princess of the castle. Etna has provided 1000 squad members and ten hours to track the required thing.
Etna has issued a Scarf, which prevents the player from exploding. Once the player gets killed, the 1000 other members tossed up to the plate, wearing the same scarf. The player has various moves to perform in combats. A hip pound is a primary move that allows the Prinny to drop on an enemy. The player can also double jump to reach higher platforms.
The player has a sword to slash attacks and kill the monsters. By performing a basic attack in midair, the player performs a long-range aerial attack. Continuously spinning for three seconds or more will cause the player to become dizzy. The player has 1000 lives that make the gameplay long.

Lightning Sword shoots lightning when fired, Fireball Sword emits fireballs that seek out enemies after firing, and the Sonic Sword affects enemy targets at close range. The helmet grants the player a few seconds of invisibility. All the powers have limited action, and once their energy has depleted, the player cannot use them.
