Planet Laika is a Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by Quintet and published by Enix for PlayStation platform. The story of the game revolves around the protagonist named as Laika, and his efforts to explore the terrifying world of Mars while solving a variety of complicated puzzles. The space world is populated by the strange creatures with a dog head. It has three different characters such as Spacer, Yolanda, and Ernest. Each character has its unique abilities and personalities. The protagonist has an ability absorb different colored auras from different characters, and when the player absorb a particular color enough, he is able to transform into unique personality to solve the problem. Unlike other RPG, which uses turn-based features, Planet Laika is played almost like Pong and Space Invaders. There are a variety of levels available, and the player must fulfill the requirements of each level to unlock further. The game takes place in the fantasy-based world filled with humans and monsters called Deimos. There are two different protagonists such as Kharg and Darc, and the player must select one of them to start the game. If the player chooses the human character Kharg, then his ultimate task is to battle the Deimos and slay them for humans to live peacefully, as he raised by his and the human mother of Darc named Nafia. The game centers on two different brothers and their separate adventure. There are lots of quests available that the player needs to complete to earn experience points and progress in the story. The game looks easy to play, but hard to master. The player explores the world from the isometric perspective and interacts with non-player characters to purchase items and get information about tasks.
