Outlaws is a Single-player and Multiplayer First-person Shooter video game developed and published by LucasArts for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place in the Wild West setting, and the storyline revolves around a former U.S. Marshal named James Anderson, who is looking for something to bring justice to a brutal gang of thugs who murdered his beautiful wife and abducted his daughter. In the game, the player can use several American Old West weaponry and items, including shotgun, rifle, revolver, and dynamite. While playing the game, the player can activate an inventory item to lighten dark sections of the game and can also use a shovel in individual sections to dig holes. Aside from a Single-player campaign, the game offers a variety of five missions that chronicle the rise of Anderson to the rank of U.S. Marshal. Each task of the game requires the completion of individual objects, including either capture or murder specific outlaws. The player uses a first-person viewpoint to explore the environment.
