Nuclear Union was an Action-Adventure, Post-apocalyptic, and Third-person Shooter video game with Stealth elements developed by Best Way and published by 1C Company for Microsoft Windows in 2014. The story takes place during the Cuban Missile crises in the year 1962, with the narrative and the gameplay is set in modern days Soviet Union. It combines the role-playing, exploration and shooting elements and casts the player in the role of the protagonist, a soldier who must explore the environment from a third-person perspective, battle enemies using a range of weapons. It offers open world environment and lets the player move freely in the environment around him. The game rewards the player with experience points for kill enemies, and he can use to get access to additional weapons and equipment. It offers mission-based gameplay, and each mission needs a completion of individual objectives to progress. The player equips with primary arms that can be changed or upgraded during the gameplay. The player has access to various military-grade weapons and vehicles, such as Tasers and other sensor weapons. The game introduces many maps where the player can explore small as well as large playfields. The game has several playable modes such as Heist, Rescue, Hotwire, Blood Money, and Crosshair Mode.
In Heist mode, the criminals break into cash and move the cash to an extraction point, and the police must stop them. The game takes players in the zombie apocalypse, and it requires a motion controller for play. In the game, the player uses the motion controller to explore virtual firearms, to interact with an inventory of the player and the environment. During the gameplay, the player equips a weapon in each hand, two more in holstered positions. It offers a campaign in which the player navigates the environment to find the tools required to advance. A hard mode is also available in which the player is confined to a small camp and try to survive against the massive hordes of zombies. Both modes can be played in single-player and multiplayer modes. During the gameplay, the player encounters a small wave of zombies which are relatively easy to kill.
