Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition is an Adventure, Hack-n-Slash, Fantasy, RPG, and Single-player video game developed by KOEI Tecmo Games. Throughout the game, the player has to create a strong protagonist and embarks on an adventure to confront devastating locales during the Sengoku period. Identical to the previous title, the game contains the story of some military commanders.
The game has offered a new Yokai Shift ability that lets the protagonist utilize powerful forms to defeat the most formidable enemies in battle. Enemies are much smarter and can create a dark realm that offers new challenges for the player to overcome. All a player has to do is conquer fearsome monsters and unleash the magical powers.
The Tengu’s Disciple, Darkness in the Capital, and The First Samurai are the three expansions taken from the Nioh 2 game. The Tengu’s Disciple takes the character to the end of the Heian period, Darkness in the Capital is in the middle, and The First Samurai brings at the beginning of the Heian period, where the player faces dangerous challenges.

The player takes on the role of the protagonist, who can explore the land from a third-person perspective either on foot or by horseback. During the gameplay, the player will meet the war council to discuss political and military affair before starting the battle, and then participate in combat to kill hordes of enemies and conquer the battlefield. There are several playable characters available from which the player can select his favourite one. Each character has its unique playstyle, combo, and abilities. The game features a mini-map on the top of the screen, which displays the location of the protagonist.
