New Zealand Story Revolution is an Adventure, Platform, and Single-player video game developed by Taito for Nintendo. Throughout the game, the player controls Tiki, the main character, where the main mission is to navigate a world with different obstacles. Each level’s goal is to avoid the enemy and spikes where only one hit can cause the player’s death.
The player will meet and must rescue his kiwi friends at the end. The game has an endless supply of arrows where the pickups, picked by Tiki, will change into bombs, lasers, or bouncing fireballs. It all depends on the player’s usage and playstyle. A distinctive feature is that a player can ride many flying vehicles such as balloons, blimps, and U.F.O.s.

In the first one, the player has limited lives to find the masks, and if the lives run out, the player has to restart. Modern Mode has replaced the lives with a death counter that keeps track of each death.
All the levels offer two separate variations, where each has a separate layout of hazards and enemies. Each mask of the game has a specific property that can help the player. The game has multiple characters where every character specifies a different playstyle.
