NBA 2K20 is a Sports, Basketball Simulation, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Visual Concepts for several platforms. It serves as the Twentieth installment in the series of NBA 2K and offers similar gameplay with the latest features than the previous releases. During the gameplay, the player needs to follow the rules and regulations of NBA games with real-time or modified teams and players.

The game offers the top thirty-six best modifiable teams for both MyLeague and MyGM Modes. More than 200 basketball clubs, four announcers, three sideline reporters, and two analyzers are available to select and play. Up to four new modes, such as MyCareer, MyLeague, MyGM, and MyTeam Mode lets the player experience new gameplay.

MyCareer mode is a career mode where the player leads from the front and plays with his desirable customized athletes throughout the game, MyTeam mode offers the player to play with his team in a tournament or a series of matches to compete other teams. In contrast, multiplayer mode lets the player challenge a friend or invite other players to join his team.
