Mortal Kombat 4 is a Side-scroll, Fighting, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed and published by Midway Games. The game is the 4th main title in the series of Mortal Kombat, and it is the first installment to use 3D Graphics. The fighting system of the game is similar to previous titles, and one of the most notable features in the game is the use of weapons and objects during the battles. The story of the game describes the attack from the evil Elder Legend named Shinnok against his ex-comrades who stuck him in the Netherealm many years ago to the start of the series. There are more than seventeen playable characters available, and the player needs to select his favourite one to jump into the game where he has to fight against opponents in one-on-one matches to show off his power. The game comes with a limited weapon system, using this feature the player can take out a special weapon with the combination of buttons. Both characters on the stage have their health bar, and both need to fight against each other to deplete the health bar to win.
