Momodora: Reverie under the Moonlight is a Single-player Metroidvania video game developed by Bombservice and published by Playsim for Multiple Platforms. The game is the 4th title in the series of Momodora and comes with several modifications and improvements. It usually deals with side-scroll and platformer gameplay, where the player assumes the role of Kaho, a priestess on an epic quest to fend off the curse that has been invaded the land. The player navigates the series of areas in order to gather items, fight against monsters, and avoid insane obstacles. In each area, the player has to battle against the brutal boss, and in battle, the player can perform both melee attacks with a leaf and ranged with a bow. During gameplay, the player can also discover and equip items and spells to help him in battle. It is a prequel takes place four-hundred year before the events of the previous game. The player traverse to the eastern kingdom to battle against the curse that threatened the environment. As a bee from the future tells Ness that the only way to eliminate the Alien threat is to collect melodies in a Sound of Stone, Ness starts off his journey with Pokey. On the way, more characters join Ness and he continues his journey to collect the Melodies and encounters the Aliens and other obstacles.
