It is the 9th entry in the series and 11th overall. The game takes place in the historic year in 1984, after the events of Ground Zeroes. The story centers on the mercenary leader as he attempts to get into the border of Kabul Province and the Angola Zaire to take revenge from those people who killed his forces. The game features open environment and lets the player explore the environment from a third-person perspective. The player can use traditional weapons to take down enemies using stealth elements and cane earn points by completing a set of missions. The player can manipulate the world either on foot or by horseback. The player needs to sneak from different points in the exciting world, avoid enemy guards, and remain undetected. It features day/night cycles and introduces weather system to make the game challenging. The game rewards the player with points per kill.
