Mercenaries Saga 2 is an Adventure, Simulation, and Single-player video game offered by Rideon Japan Inc. for multiple platforms. It serves as a sequel to the Mercenaries Saga game and features the same gameplay to the last one. Throughout the gameplay, the player gets control over a unit, and the main task is to eliminate the enemies.
The game features multiple stages with similar gameplay, and the player has to complete all the stages for progression. It comes up with advanced AI bots and dangerous opponents to face where the difficulty increases for higher stages. The player must collect collectibles scattered through the game map.
The player gain experience and ability points through aggressive attacks, which the player can use to upgrade the character’s stats. Mana points are the points that allow the player to utilize remarkable assaults. If a character loses all of the wellbeing he blacks out, and after five turns, they declared as unfit until the next fight.

In the game, the characters are teamed up into pair units, with solo units comprising a single character capable of assisting them when connected. In the battlefield, the player can use attacks and combos to damage the enemies as much as possible before his turn ends. There are several playable characters available and the player has a choice to select his favorite one and embarks on an epic adventure to take down enemies. The battle takes place in turn-based system, where players take their turns to damage the members of opposing team.
