The game starts within the Milky Way Galaxy during the futuristic century in 22nd, where the humans are trying to populate new home worlds in the massive Galaxy known as Andromeda. There are two playable characters, and the player assumes the role of either Sara Ryder or Scott, both are members of the military who joins the force and wakes up in Andromeda. In the story, the player must explore the galaxy to find out the humanity’s homeland while encountering antagonistic alien race known as Kett.
