The game acts as the sequel to Mario Tennis, released for Game Boy Color. Unlike its previous title, the player can’t hook his game up with the Nintendo GameCube version. It offers the similar gameplay to Mario Power Tennis where the player play tennis with other players or AI-controlled characters in both Singles and Doubles, and there are a variety of mechanics like topspin, Power Shots, Slice, and more. During the gameplay, the player can perform both Offensive and Defensive Power Shots to advance through the game. Offensive Power Shots are powerful attack to opponent. The game introduces two different characters to select from are Clay and Ace. During the gameplay, the player can change the name of his character he select to play as, and also can select the dominant hand of the player for playing tennis. The game supports both Single-player and Multiplayer modes and introduces six playable characters, including Hiromi Mita, Beeho Yoo, Jordi Costa, and more. The game acts as the third sequel to the franchise of Virtua Tennis, released by Sega. The game supports the Kinect on the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation Move Controller on the PS3. It offers the similar gameplay to its previous titles and comes with improved mechanics, graphics, and gameplay. There are several playable characters available and the player needs to select his favorite one to jump into the game where he must compete against his opposing team of one or two players to show off his tennis abilities. Using the PlayStation Move, the player can move the character in right and left direction while struggling to score the points to become the master. In World Tour mode, the player can invite up to eight players to compete against them in a form of team. The game comes with three mini-games where the player has to score the best points in each game.
