Mario Tennis: Power Tour (also known as Mario Power Tennis) is a 2005 Sports, Tennis, Single-player and Multiplayer video game created by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo. The game acts as the sequel to Mario Tennis, released for Game Boy Color. Unlike its previous title, the player can’t hook his game up with the Nintendo GameCube version. It offers the similar gameplay to Mario Power Tennis where the player play tennis with other players or AI-controlled characters in both Singles and Doubles, and there are a variety of mechanics like topspin, Power Shots, Slice, and more. During the gameplay, the player can perform both Offensive and Defensive Power Shots to advance through the game. Offensive Power Shots are powerful attack to opponent. The game introduces two different characters to select from are Clay and Ace. During the gameplay, the player can change the name of his character he select to play as, and also can select the dominant hand of the player for playing tennis. However, Disc Jam is played from the first-person perspective while the Windjammers is played from a top-down viewpoint from the sidelines. It introduces 1vs1 and 2vs2 matches, enabling the player to compete up to four players in either online or local multiplayer modes. The game offers fast-paced action gameplay that pits two to four players against each other in the mixture of tennis and hockey. In the game, the player scrambles to retrieve and struggle to throw the disc while unleashing the devastating abilities and protecting their end zone. It is completely skill-based gameplay, where the player can test his sports skills and timing. The game rewards the player with points which the player can use to unlock further content.
