Mario Teaches Typing is an Adventure, Educational, and Single-player video game developed by Interplay Entertainment Corp. Throughout the gameplay, the player takes on the role of a protagonist named Mario, where the primary concern is to type the required phrase to gain freedom from the clutch of a magical typewriter.
At the start, the player has to select a menu from the three available as File, Student, and Lesson. The game has various modes such as Outdoors World, Underwater World, Underground World, Practice, and Report Card. In the outdoor mode, the player has to press the required keys shown on the brick block.
Intermediate levels require the player to type the keys shown on-screen that includes a large variety of letters, punctuation marks, and numbers. In the Underground World, the player has to type large sentence before the time runs out. Practice mode is to improve the typing skills of a player, and if the player makes thousands of errors, it shows a bug.

Throughout the gameplay, the player gets control over the main character and has to play the music using various instruments. The main story follows the player’s love that has been kidnapped by the zombies, and the player has to earn freedom for his love.
The game has different instruments such as guitar, drum, piano, and much more that offer different sounds. The undead creatures are afraid of the music, and the player has to eliminate as many enemies as possible through music. The game has a solo mode as well as a competitive mode having unique gameplay.
The game offers many weapons to the player, but the character can utilize the weaponry by pressing the correct colored fret buttons on the guitar controller. The significant features of the game are Zombies, Instruments, Co-op Mode, and Several Abilities.
