Manhunter: New York
Manhunter: New York is a sequel to Manhunter: San Francisco and comes with Post-apocalyptic and Adventure elements developed by Evryware and published by Sierra On-Line. The game features Single-player mode only, and it takes place in the futuristic setting in 2004, when an alien race called the Orbs have controlled the planet Earth. The alien race looks like the massive floating eyeballs in the space, have implanted humanity with tracking devices and force them to wear nondescript robes. The protagonist is selected for this assignment by the orbs to track down the humans who are believed to be forming a resistance. Throughout the game, the player can find out that the alien race isn’t the humble rulers, they are actually harvesting humanity as a food source. Then, the player switches his path and start working to overthrow the alien race to help the humanity. The game offers the different gameplay from other AGI video games in that it didn’t use the text parser, incorporated the first-person perspective rather than a third-person viewpoint, and introduce a point-and-click interface to control the character.
