Mail Order Monsters is a mix of Action and Strategy gameplay elements developed by Paul Reiche III and published by Electronic Arts in 1985. In the game, the player builds monsters which he can use to fight against another player in Multiplayer mode or against AI-controlled opponents in Single-player. The game starts with the player creating a monster and equip it futuristic weapons to fight. During the gameplay, monsters can be modified through purchasing special abilities, including tentacles to use modern weaponry. Two players can battle against each other, experience Capture the Flag mode, or can compete for high points. The Single-player mode of the game lets the player battle against a computer-controlled opponent in a one-on-one match. Fights take place in different locations that have tactical effects, including mountains. There are several levels, and each level comes with a set of objects that the player needs to complete to advance. As the player advances, the game becomes tough to play, and the challenging opponents will be available to face off.
