It serves as the sixth main entry in the Lego Stars War series and offers similar gameplay to the previous releases with some advanced features. While exploring the space, the player views the environment using a third-person perspective.
The game offers the episodes, and the player can select any episode to play; each episode contains a specific hub with several planets, more than 45 levels, and five-story missions. The player is set free to complete the episode, which he wants to finish first. Iron Man 2 is an Action-Adventure, Superhero, and Single-player video game loosely based on the movie of the same name developed by Sega Studios San Francisco and published by Sega. The story of the game takes place after the movie’s plot, in which the player assumes the role of either the Iron Man or War Machine, each character has its unique style and personality. Iron Man is sleeker and relies on energy weapons while War Machine is equipped with ballistic weaponry and advanced armour. At the start of the game, the player as the Iron Man can select from different suits of armour, including Marks II. During, the game, the player can modify upgrades and weaponry and is capable of switching weapons during the gameplay. The controls of the game have been improved compared to the first title and the melee combat of the game enabling the player to get bear to the ground to take down enemies. The game is played from a third-person perspective and as the superhero the responsibility of the player is to save the world from being destroyed by enemies.
