Knights of Xentar is a Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by ELF Corporation and published by Megatech Software. The game acts as the part in the video game series of Dragon Night, offering the different gameplay compared to its previous installments. The Role-playing system of the game is completely different and the player can traverse the world from a top-down perspective, exploring the towns and dungeons. The quests of the game are two times longer than the first episode of the series. During the gameplay, the enemy encounters are random and the fights are shown in the side-view style like other Japanese Role-playing games like Final Fantasy video game. The battles in the game are automated with foes and characters attacking each other in real-time. The player is able to pause the battle at any time to cast the spell, use the specific item, or change the main attack style through a list. The game contains eight levels of attack and each has its unique advantages and disadvantages.

In the game, the player controls the clan of five goblins each has its unique design, units, and skills with the objective of harvesting resources to create the wave of characters and attack enemies to remove their clan. Using the top-down interface, the player starts the game with one clan struggles to take over the world by defeating the enemy forces. There are five different types of goblin clans such as Hellfire, Stonekrusher, Stormbringer, and more. Each class in the game revolves around either on close combat or ranged goblin fights.
