The game takes place in a world deeply drowned in the aftermath of a massive Apocalyptic Pandemic that leaves the world in despair. The game features four characters as the Survivors and allows the players to control them while battling against the hordes of Infected Zombie like creatures. Left 4 Dead offers four main game modes such as Single Player Mode, Co-Op Mode, Versus Mode, and Survival Mode. In Single-player mode, players can control one character out of the four, and the other are controlled by the game AI (Artificial Intelligence).
