Jeanne d’Arc is a Tactical Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by Level-5 and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was launched first in Japan and was localized for a release in NA on 21 August 2007. The narrative of the game makes use of different fantasy element and is loosely focused on the story of Joan of Arc and her efforts against the English Occupation of France during the war of hundred years in the early of the fifteenth century. In the game, the player can control the main character named Jeanne and her party, who needs to move her team between all major cities and introduces on a semi-historical map, situated in France. There are new locations that will lead to battles and cut-scenes. During the gameplay, the player must select points on the map, enabling her party members to shop for improved skills, armor, and weapons. The setting of the game takes place in 435 Tz, where every faction in the land is at conflict. If the war continues there will not be enough land left to fight over. The strain on the magical energy of the world is literally tearing the world apart. The fate of the land lies in the player hands. During the gameplay, the player must learn and earn the respect of all the races and together the player must battle in order to keep the land alive. The player can traverse the land in order to earn respect and can engage in fierce battles along his journey leading up to an all-out war. There are five unique heroes and the player can select one of them. The destiny of five heroes is to unite the Mage Knight Factions, in a conflict that will decide the world’s fate.
