Ion Fury is a First-person Shooter and Single-player video game developed by Voidpoint and published by 3D Realms for Multiple Platforms. It serves as the prequel to the video game, Bombshell, offering exciting gameplay and lots of challenges to face. The game puts the player in control of the protagonist, who is a bomb disposal expert, named Shelly Harrison. According to the plot, the protagonist is aligned to the GDF (Global Defense Force), and Dr. Jadus Heskel reveals a mighty army of cybernetically-improved soldiers on the futuristic landscape of Neo D.C. which the protagonist is tasked with battling through. The player navigates the environment from a first-person perspective, similar to the Doom II, and lets the player take on robotic enemies to make points. While playing the game, the player can use a set of weapons to complete the objectives, and further threats can be found during navigation of the thrilling land. The game introduces two playable characters such as Soph Blazkowicz and Jess, each with a unique personality and playstyle. In the start, the player has an option to choose one of them and jump into the game to explore the environment from a first-person viewpoint to take on enemies using a set of weapons. An optional co-op multiplayer mode is available in the game to increase the gaming experience, and during the gameplay, the player must complete a set of challenging levels either alone or with another player.
