Imperium Galactica is a Space, Strategy, Simulation, and Single-player video game developed by Digital Reality for Windows. Throughout the game, the player adopts the role of the protagonist named Dante Johnson, whose main mission is to command a small ship through the entire universe. The game offers the player to command up to twenty capital ships, 180 fighters, and three colonies, named Achilles, Naxos, and San Sterling.

The player must remain in the limits and cannot beyond the boundaries of the small sector assigned to defend. By getting to advance, the player rises through the ranks from Lieutenant to Captain, Commander, Admiral, and even Grand Admiral with different responsibilities.

Five research centers for five categories are there for the player such as Computer, Construction, A.I., Military, and Machinery. The player can research on a single category out of five categories, marked by a colored symbol. Each technology requires a certain amount of knowledge about it where the player can either demolish or rebuild research centers repeatedly.
