Icewind Dale II is a Role-playing, Single-player and Multiplayer video game takes place in the fantasy setting developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Entertainment. It serves as the predecessor to Icewind Dale, and introduces Forgotten Realms and puts the player in control of a group of mercenaries in a conflict between the ten realms. The game is played from an isometric perspective and lets the player control the group using a point-and-click interface to interact with the game’s environment and non-player characters. There are different parties available, and each comprises up to six members, offering unique skills and abilities. The player must choose his side one of them and jump into the world where he has to complete a variety of quests while battling enemies in real-time. Before getting into the world, the player must select his name, race, class, alignment, and attributes. The main gameplay centers on combat in the real-time turn-based system.
