I Am Alive is an Action-Adventure and a Horror Survival video game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gaming platforms. The game is set in a Post-apocalyptic era and sheds light on some of the most drastic and hazardous elements like the timidity of a dystopian world and human’s darkest inclinations to brutality and avariciousness. In a world mostly destroyed by mega earthquakes, most of the humanity gets left without resources, government tries to help but all the efforts are useless and the population gets agitated and violent in order to survive. The protagonist Carlo Mestroni after losing his wife and daughter gets back to his home for his belongings and finds a little girl named Mei who is trying to find her mother and gives Carlo a walkie talkie. Carlo contacts his friend and agrees bringing Mei to him. On his way to Henry, a dust storm stops their way and forces them to take shelter in a mall. Upon reaching to Henry, Carlo gets to know that Mei’s mother is kidnapped by the local killers taking refuge in a hotel. Carlo sets out to free her and reaches the hotel where he engages in combats and heavy gunfights against the hordes of killers and finally frees Mei’s mother. Carlo gets back with Mei’s mother and after uniting those two, leaves for his own family and the game continues.
