The gameplay is based on the Formula One Season held in 1994 and the game comes with new playable modes including Time Attack, Battle, and Grand Prix. There is also an Edit mode available, enabling the player to create his new driver and modify his vehicle by changing the engine, tyre, and paint. In battle mode, up to three players can compete against each other simultaneously. It offers more detailed graphics compared to its previous title. The game starts with the player selecting his driver with car to jump into the tournament to compete against AI or real players in several modes. The game features a small map at the left corner of the screen to display the path as well as the location of the player. When the rain starts, the track will gradually lose grip, with specific areas losing grip faster compared to others. When the rain stops, the drying line will start to occur which will offer more grip which will make it easier for the player to drive the car. The game has a Career mode contains either three, five or seven seasons for the player. There are professional teams, cars, and drivers available as well as tracks from which the player can make his selection to participate in the tournament. The player starts his career as the basic driver with limited skills within a small team but can join the excellent team by improving the skills and earning reputation and fame. The player has a chance to show off his driving skills and dominate all the circuits to become the master. He can experience the life of the real F1 driver. The game acts as the 16th installment in the series of Formula One video games and introduces team and driver line-ups from the 2014 Season, as well as the brand new Sochi Autodrom, Hockengeimring, and Red Bull Ring. It enables the player to select any team to drive for in Career mode, rather than the player begins his racing career at the team smaller the grid and work his way up, like in other entries. The game doesn’t introduce classic content, a feature from the predecessor of the game which enabled the player to drive old F1 cars around the classic tracks. The environment of the game set in the 3D world where the player selects his driver and choose his car to take part in the tournament with an objective to eliminate other drivers from the race or reach the end of each track before anyone to win.
