Harvester is a 1996 FMV, Adventure, Point-and-Click, and Single-player Interactive Movie video game developed by DigiFX Interactive and published by Merit Studios. The plot of the game revolves around the character named as Steve, who finds himself in the strange town in 1953, known as Harvest with a case of amnesia. Steve can’t remember anything from his past, and when he tells the inhabitants of the town that claims to be his beloved family, the people of town tell him what a kidder he is. The inhabitants of the town stress the protagonist to join the lodge, a huge building located at the town’s center that acts as the headquarters of the Harvest Moon. Now, the player must encounter the Sergeant at Arms, who informs him that he can find the answers to his all questions in the building. To get into the building, the player needs to join the Order of the Harvest Moon. But to participate, the player needs to complete a variety of tasks, ranging from vandalism to arson. The game puts the player in the role of the protagonist named Reika, who must travel to different time periods to find the most wanted criminal named as Luda, from her time. After detecting the antagonist, the player must struggle to fend off his evil plans. The game uses pre-recorded animation, instead of sprites to show the on-screen action. The gameplay is split into levels, referred to as time periods. The player starts the game in 4001 AD with the thief, who stole the time travel device. The antagonist plans to take over the world using the time travel device by changing history. Now, the player must use his device to pursue the evil and engage himself in the FMV gameplay experience.
