Guitar Hero 5 is a Music, Rhythm, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Neversoft and published by Activision for PlayStation and Nintendo. The game is the fifth main installment in the series of Guitar Hero video games, serving as the 12th overall. It adds new features, including bands drop-in or drop-out play, and instruments. A competitive mode comprises several scoring mechanisms, and both general and song-specific challenges let the player unlock new avatars, outfits, and other items. There are over eighty-five songs available, and the game features many playable characters from which the player can select his favorite one to jump into the game. Using the customization the player can change the appearance of his character, choose his instrument, and play several songs by following the notes to make points. Like previous games, it uses a unique controller and attempts to match scrolling notes as they appear on-screen along a track to mimic the playing of the rock music. Momentum Streakers, Perfectionist, Do or Die, Elimination, etc. are prominent modes.

U-1 is a young boy who is ridiculed by his classmates, passed over by Pico (his dream girl) and bullied by his rival Kazuya. The plot starts when Puma, a dog with a capability of speaking, teaches the protagonist how to play the guitar. As the story advances, the protagonist comes to know that he is the last legendary hero of Planet Gitaroo. During the gameplay, the player as the protagonist faces lots of opponents in musical battles and each level, the player and the opponent have a life bar, and the main objective is to deplete the life bar of each other to win and struggle to reaches the end of each stage without running out of life. There are three phases in each level such as Charge, Guard and Attack. During the charge and the Attack phase, the player follows the trace line using the analog button and play music, while in charge phase, successful notes will be restored the health of the player. With prominent features, smooth gameplay, and good graphics, Gitaroo Man is a good music game to play.

Get on Da Mic is a Music, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by A2M and published by Eidos Interactive. Unlike other music games, it focuses on Hip-Hop songs. The main gameplay is based on karaoke singing, in which the player assumes the role of the singer who needs to sings a famous song while it plays with the vocals. The game introduces a unique system that can detect the pitch of the singer’s voice and rewards points accordingly on how well the singer matches the pitches. The game requires the use of a microphone to play it. In the game, the player needs to grab his mic and rhythm to show off his skills. There are over forty licensed tracks available from hip-hop legends, both new and old school. During the gameplay, the player needs to work his way up to rap superstardom and fight his mates for glory and respect.
