Crystal Defenders is the collection of two Tower-defense video games, developed and published by Square Enix. The video games uses the Ivalice’s setting and design different elements from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rif. It introduces the selection of playable characters Final Fantasy-based classes, and lets the player engage in unique tower-defense gameplay experience. All the titles in the series are revolved around Tower Defense games comprised multiple stages and each stage is played from a top-down perspective. All the stages offer thirty-one hordes of enemies that get into the area on the left side and explore the environment along the pathway toward the targets. The ultimate task of the player is to defend the crystals from foes by commanding his troops of different classes to take down the enemies.
