Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition is the mix of Turn-based Strategy, Space, 4X, and Grand Strategy elements developed and published by Stardock Entertainment. The game supports Single-player option and takes place in the science-fiction world where the player assumes the role of the protagonist, a leader of the space-faring civilization. It is the sequel to the turn-based strategy video game of the same name, released in 2003. The player as the commander must command his crew in a hostile galaxy and struggle to maintain the balance of the economy, diplomatic, technological, and military power to forge alliances, battle conflicts and struggle to dominate the entire galaxy. The game comes with Single-player mode and enables the player to play procedural generated maps. The 3D engine of the game brings the stars, planets, ship battles and asteroids to life and lets the player to create his custom maps by piece by piece with his shipyard.
