Frogger: Ancient Shadow is a Platform, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Hudson Soft and published by Konami for PlayStation 2. The game is the sequel to Frogger’s Adventures: The Rescue video game. The story revolves around the protagonist, who is a frog. While his buddy named Lumpy is away, the protagonist is informed by his girlfriend named Lily that the evil crocodile is invaded the firefly swamp. Now, the player as the frog must rescue his home by solving the complex puzzles, gathering gold coins, and avoiding hazards. Using the running and jumping capabilities, the player can manipulate the objects with his tongue. The single-player story mode of the game spans seven different lands and up to twenty-eight levels. The player can play the story levels in the timed challenge mode, and there are multiple modes are available that introduce a set of scenarios. The game is played from an overhead perspective, and the player needs to run, jump, and overcome obstacles his way to save the world from being destroyed by taking down the antagonist.
