Folk Tale is the mix of Strategy, City-Building, Resource Management, Sandbox, and Fantasy elements developed and published by Games Foundry. The game comes with Single-player mode only and takes place in the sandbox world where the player experiences the Action Role-playing gameplay, in which he controls a ragtag band of peasants in growing the market town. During the gameplay, the player has to recruit heroes and struggle to head out into the wilds to battle against evil. The game offers the fantasy environment invaded by enemies and the player create his own impressive settlement and economy and can defend his village with gatehouses, barrier, and watchtowers. The primary objective of the player is to manage his villagers need and happiness while levelling up, recruiting and meeting heroes and special abilities.
