Earthworm Jim 2 is an Action-Adventure, Casual, Run n Gun, Platform, and Single-player video game offered by Shiny Entertainment. It serves as the sequel of the Earthworm Jim and provides the same gameplay with the first one. The player controls the protagonist named Jim in a robotic style suit, and the primary purpose of the character is to rescue the princess from battling against the epic bosses and evils.
A variety of weapons are available, such as an auto-aiming gun that aims the enemy automatically that comes in front of the firearm, Bam Blaster, which brings all enemies visible on the screen and a lot more with different abilities. Jim’s friend, named Snot, will also travel with the protagonist to help him throughout the game.
Different characters have different abilities and powers in the game, and the player can unlock different characters while getting to the advance in the gameplay. The player can run, jump, fly, and swing across throughout the journey to complete the levels. In the third level of the game, the player first needs to overcome hurdles, and in the latter part of the level, the game turns into a game show where the player must answer multiple different questions to get to advance, and the issues have no logic.
The game also introduces two epic bosses with dangerous evil powers such as Pedro Pupa riding a unicycle Pupa and Flamin’ Yawn, who can emit fire from his mouth while breathing. At the end of the game, the protagonist must defeat Psy-Crow to get freedom for the princess.
