The game is based on the 2001 Formula 1 Season, and it is the sequel to F1 2000, released in 2000. Training mode is the main focus of the game where the player can improve his skills and is able to unlock further modes as he advances through it. The game comes with 17 official tracks, twenty-two professional drivers who participated in the F1 2000. The modes follow the quick race format where the player needs to earn points to access other tracks. Grand Prix serves as the premier mode of the game, which offers five distinct modes, including a Full Championship season with seventeen rounds that comes with Qualifying and Practice session. The player selects his one of twenty-two drivers and takes part in the race against rival drivers to compete. The game is played from a third-person perspective where the player controls the one-seated vehicle and attempt to reach the end of the track by completing all laps to become the winner. During the gameplay, the player can drift his way to overcome the challenging curve and experience the realistic environment with dynamic weather and further elements. The game features the driver and team line-ups from the 2015 F1 Season, including the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. It comes with a huge number of improvements to the physics model of the game and has a new Pro Season mode that is more complex than normal gameplay because of no assist and HUD, which includes transmission, ABS, and traction. The game serves as the 20th title in the franchise of Formula 1, and the gameplay is focused on the 2018 F1 World Championship. It comes with twenty-one circuits from the calendar and all twenty expert drivers who participated in the tournament and ten teams competing in the Season. Like previous installments, the player features classic or Formula 1 cars and include the Brown BGP 001, the vehicle which Bran GP and Jenson Button won the World Constructor’ Championships and the 2009 World Drivers. The games put the player in the role of the real F1 driver who must choose his vehicle and jump into the game to race against rival drivers in the series of circuits for fame and rewards.
