Dynasty Warriors 8 is a Fighting, Hack-and-Slash, Single-player, and Multiplayer video game developed by Omega Force. It is the eighth main installment in the Dynasty Warriors series and requires the player to follow the same gameplay. Throughout the game, the player has to make progress through the battles and improve the character’s ranks.

A new game mode, named Ambition Mode, is where the player has to create a social base for peasants. To raise the tower’s status, the player must participate in different battles such as Skirmish battles and Raid battles. Skirmish battles give materials to construct the tower, whereas Raid battles increase fame.

Large-scale battles allow the player to recruit new partners. The game introduces a bodyguard system, where the player comes with three playable characters instead of one character to battle. The game has five mini-games, and each of the game rewards the player with customizable weapons as the player completes the challenges.
