The game serves as the sequel to Dungeons 2 and offers improved graphics, enhanced mechanics, and superb controls. It offers the similar gameplay to previous title, where the player can alternate struggling to trap legends in his dungeon. In the game, the task of the player is to build a maze of rooms full of trap and foes to lure and kill adventurers to score the points. During the gameplay, the player can use the armies of various evil creatures to attempt to take over the land above ground. There are twenty-one Single-player missions take place in the procedurally generated world. The storyline of the game takes place after the end of Dungeons 2 where the lord of dungeon become bored after dominating the lands above, and efforts to invade a new continent. It has various levels and the player needs to lead his evil army in each level to trap and kill the heroes.
