The game has three emperors, where each emperor has significant skills and attributes. The game uses a cursor system where a unit follows the cursor. The player can move the units by pointing a cursor to the place where he wants the unit to move. The game takes the player to alternative timed phases where each season begins with a default phase in which the player develops a town with the limited resources.
The game lasts for two minutes to build a phase, and as the time gets over, the adventure ends. The player has to construct walls, set traps, chop down trees, and perform other challenging tasks. All the towns consist of buildings, roads, crops, and residents automatically in every season.
Additionally, the player must defend the town from an antagonist named Hordlings with a huge sword. The main sources are cows and crops, and if Chauncey runs out of hit points, the game ends. At the end of every phase, the player receives a report about his performance and a message from King Winthrop. The player can earn profit by protecting the town’s resources and people.

The campaign mode lets the player fight against opponent antagonists named Dakini, Chumara, and Matak.
The objective of the adventure is to eliminate all the tribe’s members, and there are specific ways to gain success. The game grants the player access to use magic spells gained from worship during battles. Resources are not to be collected; instead, new units are created automatically, and training new troops requires mana that a player has to gain through battles.
While exploring the field, the player views the environment from a third-person perspective. The player commands different followers and every tribe follower has advantages and disadvantages in combat. Brave is the basic unit that builds huts, towers, and military buildings. In all the games, the player has a similar mission to lead the armies on the battlefields to claim victories.
Command & Conquer is the first main installment with two playable factions, such as the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod. Command & Conquer: Red Alert is the second main entry with two factions and the objective to win the battles.
