Dune 2 (also known as Dune II: Battle for Arrakis) is a RTS (Real-time Strategy) and Single-player video game, created by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Games. The game brings an exciting storyline, in which Emperor Frederick IV is ready for the harvesting of the rare drug known as mélange, only found on the planet famous as Arrakis, to return his debt. To get the drug, he must provide the governorship of Arrakis to the three houses such as Ordos, Harkonnen, and Atreides delivers the most expansive drug for him. Conflict begins as deputations from the three homes reaches on Arrakis. In the game, the player takes on the commander’s role of one of three houses with a task to take down Arrakis from other two homes. Strategy genre is the central aspect of the game, and the player can unleash his strategic skills to dominate the world. The game starts with a fog of war covering all the landscape. In the game, the player must command his units to battle against other factions and fulfill the requirements of each level to reach the game’s end. With addictive gameplay, brilliant graphics, and superb mechanics, Dune 2 is the wonderful game to play.
