Drop Off
Drop Off is an Action, Arcade, and Single-player Puzzle video game created by Data East Corporation and published by NEC Home Electronics, Inc. The game delivers breakout-style gameplay, in which the player controls a paddle in 2D setting move right and left, hitting a ball which he needs to use to remove all jewels at the upper end of the screen. It is quite different from Breakout, however, in that the paddle can up and down directions also. Unlike Breakout, the jewels are moving down toward the paddle of the player similar to Bubble Shooter games. So there’s a border at the screen’s end which bounces the ball back to the upper playfield. The storyline of the game involves the antagonist, the player’s girlfriend who is kidnapped and being in coma. As the game advances, a muse appears and informs the player that his beloved girl is stuck in a nightmare and is possessed by someone. After that, the muse cast a powerful spell to put the player into her dreams. With engaging gameplay, 2D graphics, and smooth controls, Drop Off is a best breakout-style game to play.
