Drakensang: The River of Time is a Role-playing and Single-player video game created by Radon Labs and published by DTP Entertainment for Microsoft Windows. The title acts as the prequel and the gameplay takes place across the City of Nadoret, the main hub of the first title and the game puts the player in the role of the protagonist, who needs to traverse the Great River to uncover the series of pirate attacks. The player can team up with Ardo of Boarstock, the Dwarf Forgrimm, and the Thief Cuano over the course of the game. Like the original game, it focuses on traditional RPG and Party-based elements with Real-time pause and round-based play mode. Using the pen and paper rules, skills and statistics, the player can level up through experience points which can be used to increase the number of secrets and information found during the exploration. The player can explore the world from a third-person viewpoint and can interact with the environment using the point-and-click interface.
