Drakengard (video game)
Drakengard (video game) is an Adventure, RPG, and Single-player video game developed by Cavia. Through the game, the player controls Caim, prince of the Union, in his quest for vengeance against the Empire. The player has to make a pact with a red dragon named Angelus. On the way, they join Hierarch Verdelet and has to prevent the Empire from destroying magical seals.
The game features three gameplay types, such as ground missions, aerial missions, and Free Expedition Mode. In most of the levels, the player can switch between ground-based and aerial combat. Ground-based gameplay forces the player to control the main protagonist with three types of attacks: a standard sword-slash, a magic attack, and a dash attack.
The player can take almost eight weapons on a single mission. In aerial combat, the player controls both Caim’s and his partner, Angelus. Angelus can perform two standard fire attacks such as a free-aim blast that causes great damage, and homing bolts that can hit multiple targets but do less damage.
