The game offers an action-packed storyline, in which two characters such as Kris Thompson and John McClane are struggling to save the beloved daughter of President named as Caroline from the custody of terrorists. There are a variety of bosses available in multiple stages, including a Mexican Wrestler, the biker, and more. At the beginning of the game, the player selects his playable character, navigates the land from a side-scroll or third-person perspective and battle his way through hordes of enemies using his feet, fists, and a set of weapons that can be gathered from foes. The number of enemies is available in each mission that the player must take down to score the points. The game takes place in the 3D environment where the player uses his kicking and punching abilities to beat the enemies until their health bar reaches to zero. It offers the similar gameplay to the previous title, and the player controls the same protagonist through eight challenging stages from a side-scroll perspective. Each level offers a boss at the end, and the player must defeat the boss to move to the next level.
