The game takes place in the two-dimensional atmosphere set in 1960s Taiwan under martial law. It includes religious elements based on Taiwanese mythology and culture. According to the story, the students named as Ray and Wei found themselves vulnerable and trapped in Greenwood High School, situated in the remote mountainous area. The beautiful place they once knew as completely changed and haunted by evil creatures called the Lingered. The player assumes the role of the protagonist with a task to manipulate the land, interact with non-player characters and objects to uncover the mystery behind the scene. The player can control the character using point-and-click interface and can face monsters and other strange creatures. There are a series of levels, and each level has a set of tasks that the player needs to accomplish at any cost to become the master.
