Der Langrisser
Der Langrisser is an RPG, Adventure, Tactical, and Single-player video game developed by Nippon Computer System. Throughout the game, the player has to control a protagonist named Erwin, who gets involved in turn-based battles on a grid-based battlefield. The player can choose different heroes to create his faction according to the opposition.
The game has many playable characters such as Erwin, Hein, Keith, Leon, Osto, Lana, and many others. Every character has various skills and attributes where the player can improve them accordingly. Erwin is a swordsman, Hein is a young magician and is playable on all the paths, and Leon is a knight who can command the Blue Dragon Knights.
The gameplay is simply such as the player has to select a character to attack, set his power, and move on the battlefield to cast the attacks on the empty places. In this turn-based game, both the parties gain equal turns to attack and ensure their victories. The player views the environment from the isometric angle that is convenient and clear to view everything.

The game takes the player to the Archanea continent, where an evil sorcerer Gharnef and his dark master Medeus are waiting for the prince.
The player can access his and enemy location from the map at the bottom of the screen. The game has multiple chapters, and each chapter offers a large-scale battle that advances the story. As the player progresses, the player can recruit new units and unlock upgrades.
Before every battle, the players must prepare themselves, such as change the assigned weapons, forge new weapons, and manage the inventory to ensure victories. All the battles take place on a grid-based battlefield where the player and enemies have to clear the rival groups and capture important points. Each map has unique terrain ranges from mountains to rivers and flat plains.
