Dead to Rights is a 2002 Action and Single-player Third-person Shooter video game developed and published by Namco. The game makes use of bullet time, the famous gameplay mechanics of the time. It advertises itself as drawing inspiration from Hong Kong action cinema. In the game, the player is accompanied by shadow, a partner who can attack foes on command and will automatically murder enemy he’s targeted. In several puzzle segments, the player is capable of directly command the shadow to reach specific areas that the human can’t. According to the plot, Jack Slate, a protagonist who is a police officer partnered with shadow. The world where the game is set, populated with criminals compared to honest citizens. As the story advances, one night, Jack responds to a call at the zone of construction, to locate his father killed. After that, the protagonist is commanded through the labyrinth of corruption and crime. During the gameplay, the player is framed for another murder by the corrupt police officer named Richard Hennesey. There are many levels, and each level requires the completion of certain objectives. Dead to Rights includes prominent features, engaging gameplay, and detailed graphics.
