Crystal Caves lets the player experience the old-school graphics and side-scroll platformer gameplay developed and published by Apogee Software. The game is the trilogy of platform games and comes with three different episodes such as Trouble with Twibbles, Mylo Versus the Supernova, and Slugging it Out. The first episode in the game is available for free, while the other two episodes need to be purchased to play. The plot follows the protagonist named Mylo Steamwitz, a space trader, who formulates his grand get-rich scheme by purchasing a farm rich in a famous species to meet the demand of the market. To collect enough money to pay off his creators and for his farm, the player flies to the caves in the Altair system to mine the valuable crystals. After having failed in his businesses due to miscalculations, the player decides to purchase a solar system and create it a vacation resort to earn money. To fulfil his dreams the player needs to go back to the dangerous caves for mine more crystals to trade and purchase his own solar system.
