Crosswords DS is a Puzzle and Single-player video game released for Nintendo DS by Nuevo Retro Games. It has more than 1000 crossword puzzles that the player must solve using the stylus. Despite the title, the game introduces word search puzzles and anagram puzzles. It uses the handwriting mechanics similar to that of Brain Age. The multiplayer mode of the game supports four different players simultaneously, and it has two modes such as Main Game and Training. The main game mode offers three types of puzzles to solve such as Anagrams, Word Searches, and Crosswords. However, the game makes use of similar handwriting mechanics to solve the puzzles as the familiar series Brain Age, as well as needing the player to hold the Nintendo DS like a book. Each type of puzzle have varying difficulty levels and all of them loaded with unlockable puzzles and difficulty levels. In the crosswords mode, the player needs to tap the screen with the help of stylus to enlarge them, and then proceed to write in the desired letter. Yosumin is a Single-player and Multiplayer Puzzle video game developed and published by Square Enix for Nintendo DS. The game allows the player to manipulate a grid of Yosumin or tiles in order to make color matches and remove the specific number before the time ends. In the game, the player tries to choose rectangular regions available in a grid of tiles that have approximately the same type of yosumin at all four corners. The ultimate goal of the player is to remove all the rectangles from the grid within the time limit to earn the highest points. The larger the rectangle chosen, the huge number of points the player receives. During the gameplay, somewhere the player finds special yosumin which upon removing provides the player with extra time or points. Up to two players can partake in the game using the Nintendo DS with a single cartridge. With engaging gameplay, cool music, and good controls, Yosumin is a superb game to play.
