Crossbow is a Light-Gun, Single-player and Two-player video game developed and published by Eidy. It was the first arcade-based video game with digitalized speech and sound. The game introduces the most advanced graphics of the time and comes with an optical light gun. During the game, the player needs to defend a band of adventurers from the enemies, known as afar by shooting the objects that invade the environment and adventurers. According to the plot, the adventurers get into the land from the left-hand side and struggle to cross the screen unharmed. The adventure survive to the next round, if the player aids them reach another side of the screen. There are a variety of stages and each stage has a set of challenging obstacles that the player needs to overcome at any cost. The player can select the scenario by shooting the destination on the map screen, including cave, bridge, desert, town, castle, and more. The game serves as the prequel to Dead Space video game released in 2008. The plot takes place before the events of the previous title and during the same time as the movie, Dead Space: Downfall. The story follows a team of space colonists from the Aegis VII colony battling against enemies created when the Red Marker is eliminated. According to the plot, Necromorophs are mutated corpses of humans and act as the massive antagonists of the game. The player, using the first-person viewpoint, can explore the environment to kill enemies using a set of weapons. However, new types of enemies are introduced in this prequel, as well as characters, environments, and more. In the game, the player has some control over the camera and the game uses the pointer feature of Nintendo for aiming at enemies. In the game, the player will follow the pre-set paths to shoot enemies and pick up optional weapons and items related to health. The player explores the land from a third-person view, and his main objective is to make points and use them to unlock further weaponry. There are several challenging missions, and the player needs to complete each one to survive longer.
