Cossacks II: Battle for Europe focuses on Real-time Strategy (RTS) genre and takes place in the historical-themed world developed by GSC Game World and published by GSC World Publishing. The game features Single-player mode only and continues the history of the massive conflicts of 17th-18th centuries, and offers five new campaigns, new units and two new nations. The game starts with the player selecting his one of different campaigns and one of the various nations to jump into the stunning environment with a task to create his empire, place buildings, deploy units, and recruit his army to defend the nation. The game is played from an isometric perspective while the player can use his strategy skills to take down other nations to loot their resources and claim their land to expand his empire further to become the king. During the battle, the player commands his army from a top-down view, use traditional weapons like bow, axe, sword, and more to kill hordes of foes.
