Colosseum: Road to Freedom is a Fighting, Role-playing and Single-player video game created by Ertain and published by Koei for PlayStation 2. The game is loosely based on the Roman Empire across the time of the Emperor Commodus. In the game, the player assumes the role of the salve who needs to participate in the gladiatorial matches to make enough money for his freedom. The game is played from a third-person perspective and there are several playable slaves available from which the player can select his favorite one to start his struggle for freedom. The player spends major part of the game in training his characters and battling in arenas matches. The storyline takes a backseat to enable the detailed open-ended gameplay. Before participating in the arena, the player has an option to partake in training sessions, enabling him to improve his fighting skills. During the fight, the player can use his skills to take down opponent within limited time. With addictive gameplay, superb graphics, and brilliant mechanics, Colosseum: Road to Freedom is the best game to play.

It mixes the hack-and-slash, fast-paced action, bullet hell and twin-stick elements, comprising boss fights. During the gameplay, the player can take on the role of either the Stranger or the Rider, and the gameplay mostly focuses on parrying an attack, dodging bullets, and defeating the bosses using melee or shooting abilities. It offers closed environments, but navigation could still be done within the closed land to unearth the unique plot points and dialogues. The game takes place in the world of Hyrule and comes with a stunning story, in which long ago, the antagonist Ganondorf was taken down and his soul distributed into four fragments. Three of them were locked in various moments in time, while the last one was sealed by the Master Sword. The player controls the protagonist named as Link throughout the game with a task to defeat the huge number of foes from the series of the Legend of Zelda. The game has stronger emphasis on combat compared to other titles in the series of The Legend of Zelda. During the gameplay, the player can use common weapons like bombs, sword, spin attack, and melee combat to kill enemies. The game introduces the context-based system, enabling the player to change the abilities of the player using the chosen weapon. The player navigates the world, battles enemies his way through numerous levels and defeat them to restore the peace. Hyrule Warriors is the wonderful game to play and enjoy.
